name and password on the classrooms.nd.edu
web site. If you are not set up on the Classroom web site, please
email roomreq@nd.edu
To request an event, you must give one business

Can I see when a room is available?
Yes. Check our classroom schedule
web site for room availability, room photos, and technology information.
May I request a particular classroom for my class?
Certainly! We cannot guarantee it will be assigned to you, but every
effort will be made to place you in a classroom appropriate to your
teaching needs. "Instructor/Course
Room Preference" forms for the following semester will be sent
to the faculty and the departments during the first month of classes.
These forms are usually due in the Office of the Registrar, 105 Main
Building, one week before Fall/Spring break. You must submit any classroom
requests each semester.

What resources are available in classrooms?
Rooms that are considered full technology have a PC located at a lectern allowing for display through a LCD projection system. DVD players and document cameras are also available in the majority of these classrooms.
Laptop hookup technology is an available option in many of the seminar rooms. A laptop (PC or MAC) can be hooked up at the lectern, allowing for the use of the LCD projection system. DVD players are document cameras are also available in the majority of the seminar rooms.
NOTE: While many of the general purpose classrooms have VCRs and/or overhead transparency projectors, these forms of technology are slowly being phased out of the classroom. Faculty who have video content that is not available in DVD format should consider contacting the Academic Media Resources group in OIT to have the VHS tapes converted to DVD. Please call 631-0961 for this service.
If you need equipment in addition to what is installed in the classroom,
please contact the OIT's Educational Services at 631-8778. If you need additional equipment for a special event, please contact Event Services at 631-6423.
How far in advance may I reserve a room for an event?
Summer: Events are not scheduled until a week after
Summer room assignments are distributed, usually the first week of
March.
Fall/Spring: The classrooms which are managed by
the Office of the Registrar are primarily used for regular class meetings
during class hours. We need to give the most flexibility to regularly-scheduled
classes for making classroom changes. Typically we receive over 300
requests for classroom changes from faculty during the first two weeks
of classes. Therefore, events, including review sessions, presentations,
makeup classes/exams, films, etc. can be tentatively scheduled but
will not be confirmed in classroom space until the requests for changing
room assignments have stabilized each semester, usually the second
week of classes. We realize this is an inconvenience for many,
but regularly-scheduled classes must remain our first priority when
assigning classroom space. Please submit room requests for future
events by email to roomreq@nd.edu.
