figures from academia, the arts, broadcasting, business, chemical engineering, journalism, law, and technology will join principal
speaker Cardinal Theodore E. McCarrick, Archbishop emeritus of Washington, D.C., as honorary degree recipients at the University of Notre
Dame's 163rd Commencement exercises on Sunday, May 18.

Sunday, May 18:
9:00 a.m. - Graduate Business Ceremony
2:00 p.m. - University Commencement Ceremony
4:30 p.m. - Law School Ceremony
May 2008 Commencement weekend information was e-mailed to the following
student groups:
Packets were mailed on March 5 to home addresses from the Center
for Continuing Education Office regarding on-campus housing, and to
purchase weekend meal tickets.

The grade point averages required for Latin
Honors for January, May, and August 2008 degree candidates have been determined. The Latin Honors (Graduation
Honors) Policy first applied to undergraduates who were degree candidates
for May 2005. In 2001 the Academic Council changed the method used to
assign Latin Honors at graduation for undergraduates.
