Registration Advising Hold may be added to the registration record of selected students by the department of a student’s major. The student’s advising Dean also has access to place the Hold. First Year students should contact their First Year Advisor.
Viewing an Advising Hold
To view an Advising Hold, students may access NOVO and go to the “Registration Status and Holds” menu item. From there, you may view the Hold, including the contact information for removal.
Releasing an Advising Hold
Advising Holds may be viewed, added or removed through the Student Advisor Profile or Advisor Admin tools (available for administrative use only) after advising.
Other university departments (i.e. Student Accounts or Health Center) may have placed a Hold on registration and these also need to be cleared prior to registration.
