Biography

Christopher Hillak joined the Office of the Registrar in November 2023 and holds the position of Registration Management Specialist. In this role, Christopher is responsible for long-term development and short-term management of student course registration services and leads a team of office staff in managing registration issues and providing expertise during live registration for each term. He manages registration for ILI and War College Fellows as well as Saint Mary’s College, Holy Cross College and employee/spouse students. He also manages the PATH Class Search application and EForms for course add/drops, level changes, and variable credit hours. Christopher also volunteers as a member of the steering committee for Spectrum, the university’s LGBTQ+ and Ally employee resource group.

Prior to joining the Office of the Registrar, Christopher worked in the Mendoza College of Business as the Academic Operations Coordinator for the Executive MBA, MSBA-Chicago, and non-degree programs. During this time, he also held multiple DEI leadership roles within the college and was chair of the university’s Staff Advisory Council.

A native of Granger, Ind., Christopher earned a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) with double concentrations in Nonprofit Administration and Policy and Government Administration and Policy and a Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) in Arts and Humanities with a minor in Religious Studies, both from Indiana University. Outside of Notre Dame, he volunteers as a member of the board of directors for the IU Alumni Association South Bend Region and the IU LGBTQ+ Alumni Association and serves in various positions locally and globally within the Episcopal Church.
