Jennie Brackett

Biography

Jennie Brackett has been in the Office of the Registrar since January 2002. During that time, she has served as the Grading & Records Specialist, the Degree Audit Specialist, and is now the Assistant Registrar for Reporting and Research. She manages the reporting tools utilized by the office including Business Objects and Tableau, creating reports for the campus community for a variety of course and student data purposes. Jennie is the primary contact for student data reports on dataND. Jennie also serves as the primary liaison with the National Student Clearinghouse for student data reporting. During her time at Notre Dame, Jennie has served on the University Change Management Committee, and the core team for the Reporting & Analytics Community of Practice. She also served on the executive board of IACRAO (Indiana Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Offices) for six years. She was President of the organization for two of those years.

Jennie earned her Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Grand Valley State University in 2000. During her time at GVSU, she completed an internship in the Study Abroad Office which sparked her love of working in higher education. Jennie went on to earn her Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Indiana University in 2010.

A lifelong resident of Buchanan, Michigan, Jennie resides in a historic home in the community with her husband, Phil, and three children, Garrett, Lilly, and Sarah. In addition, Jennie is very active in her hometown. She has served as PTA president in multiple district school buildings and served as the band booster president for several years. Most recently, she became a member of the Buchanan Community Schools Board of Education in January 2023 where she continues to serve. Jennie is an active covenant partner at Buchanan Christian Church where she serves on the Praise Team, sings in the choir, and teaches Bible School classes or evening Bible Study groups. She is also active in the Buchanan College Club which raises scholarship and no-interest loan monies for Buchanan graduates. In her free time, Jennie likes to plan fun vacations for her family, read, sew, and crochet.
